I am a scientific translator, specialising in medical and technical translations. Before transitioning into translation, I worked as a researcher in molecular and cellular biology, which provided me with solid laboratory experience and a deep understanding of the scientific method. As a result, I can easily comprehend complex texts in various languages.

Language combinations:
I only work with languages I know in depth, and I always translate into my native languages. Spanish and Catalan are my mother tongues, Spanish from my mother, and Catalan from my father. I live in Germany, in a multicultural environment, where I use both English and German daily. Therefore, these four languages are not only my tools for work, but also my everyday means of communication.

To provide high-quality translations, it’s essential to have a deep understanding of the subject matter. Thanks to my training and experience as a researcher, I can confidently understand complex texts in medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, and other life sciences. Additionally, I enjoy translating texts on various topics that interest me, such as general information, cooking, and social issues.
Some examples include: drug and chemical safety data sheets, clinical trials, biotech patents, medical device manuals, scientific or informational articles on neuroscience… and even cooking recipes! I adapt quickly to different types of texts.
Translation tools:
I adapt easily to the translation tools required by each project or client and quickly learn to handle new options as needed. I have experience using a variety of translation solutions, such as Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, Across, OmegaT, and more.
